I was born in Ripon and, apart from 6 years in Hertfordshire and London, have lived in North Yorkshire all my life.
My wife and I moved to Pilmoor 38 years ago and set up a pig breeding enterprise which we ran for 25 years.
I then spent 10 years with DuPont advising farmers on use of company products.
Now semi-retired I enjoy the peace and quiet of our lovely countryside and believe our environment should be protected.
My wife and I have an ongoing commitment to the community.
Our three children attended the village school and my wife is a school governor.
Hi, I'm Sandra Windross and I became Parish Clerk in March 2017.
I was born in Nigeria and brought up in Belfast 'through the years of the troubles' however having moved to England in 1982, I have now lived in Hutton Sessay since 1998. In 2018 I retired after 37 amazing years working within the NHS in clinical and senior management roles.
My son and daughter, who are now grown up, attended Sessay Primary School. I am now semi-retired and I am keen to devote further time to my local community.
My wife, Wendy and I moved into Hutton Sessay around December 2020. I am a retired Building Services Manager at Hambleton District Council where I worked for 37 years. I am keen to assist in helping the community in any way. My interests include; walking with our dog, Henry, classic cars, keeping active and adventure holidays. Wendy and I also undertake voluntary work with an animal conservation organisation-that's my favourite!
I was born in Oxfordshire but have lived most of my life in Yorkshire.
My wife Liz and I moved to Sessay in 2003, realising a long-held ambition to buy a Butterfield house.
I am very interested in the history of the village and have been a member of the History Society since its inception. Having joined the parish council in 2005 I thoroughly enjoy the challenges and experiences of helping shape the future of this community.
I have always loved the great outdoors and was a keen pot-holer and rock-climber.
Although I now confine myself to walking, I completed all the 3,000 ft mountains of Scotland in 2011 and still go on regular back-packing trips to the Highlands.
